Sourdough English Muffins - Sourdough Discard Recipe
Sourdough English muffins
Ingredients
-1/2 cup sourdough starter/discard
-1/2 tbsp active instant dry yeast
-1 tbsp honey
-1/2 tbsp salt
-3.5 cups bread flour
-2 tbsp room temp butter
Directions
-incorporate all ingredients
-knead dough 5 minutes
-lightly oil dough ball, cover in a bowl and let sit for 1.5 hours
-once dough had set for 1.5 hour, roll dough out and cut circles (I used the lid of a mason jar)
-dust cut circles with semolina flour
-cover and let sit for 1 hour
-after 1 hour, lightly oil a pan on stove
-on low to medium heat, cook English muffins for 5mins each side or until golden
-place muffins in oven at 350 for 5-7 minutes
-let cool before cutting
