April 6 : Happenings, GLP-1s, Figs....

Well, that was easy enough - I'll let these continue to root for another week - and then stick them on my back porch until it gets warm enough to move them outdoors.   I'll most likely plant them up in recycled containers so that when I give them away next year, I'm not actually losing any money except the potting soil!  Happy to have been able to produce 14 new trees from my cuttings.   I could have done many, many more - and I may next year.

Not sure if I mentioned the ongoing rehab - finally got the floors in what will be the living room, finished.   I was originally going to go with Vinyl, but our floors weren't exactly flat, and our installer was decent enough to bring that to my attention, and show me what I'd end up with.   He was right, I would not have been happy.   Ended up going with real wood, and gotta say, I'm happy.   Of course, now I have to go on a deep dive to see the best way to take care of this floor.   Right now I'm waiting on a washable rug from Temu (I know, I know, but it's not my permanent carpet - I wanted to see what the room looked like with a 10 by 15 foot rug in it, if I like it, I'll buy a real one from ruggable or something).   If I don't like the one large carpet - I'll go with 2 smaller ones - one by the windows where the sectional will go with a coffee table, and one between the two lazy boy type chairs that will be in the closer part of this photo (there is a tv on the wall on the right)   The only thing I still don't know what to do with this room is the fireplace - I love the fireplace, but there is a crack halfway up the chimney, so I can't have a hot hot fire.   I'm thinking if we put a pot belly stove in that area, I can use that for heat, cooking and just be able to have fires in winter.   I think they run a pipe up inside the chimney - so the crack won't have any effect.

Last but not least, my GLP-1 journey.   Still doing weekly injections at a strength of 6.6.   Still losing, although slower.    Had my Mochi charges reversed, still haven't heard anything on the status of my meds that were ordered last month.   I did a little research, reached out to three different companies, this is the info that I've found so far -

Emerge health - $359 month every 28 days they offer 7.5 compounded (funny, they use the same pharmacy - Empower - as Mochi was trying to switch to - so not sure how long that will slow down this delivery)   They also tried to send a Zepbound script to my local pharmacy for me - but my local pharmacy was unable to fill.

Bridgeside Health - $99 for the visit with the Doctor, $500 for meds direct from Lilly Direct.   They come in individual vials, so there should be 4 vials for 4 weeks, which makes taking the right dosage easier.  Usually not an issue when using Aequita pharmacy - it was always the same dosage no matter the strength, but now they are sending out from different pharmacies with no instructions to get the right amount.   The number of Mochi clients I see on facebook with questions concerning the dosage of their new meds is highly concerning.

MEDVi - this one seems like the best bet for now.   There is a $120 discount for the first month when you first sign up so $279, and then $399 a month thereafter.  I'll do the first month here for sure, and I've also heard that their meds are in 5 week vials, so that would make this a better deal then Emerge health - but we'll see who has the better delivery in meds.   I'd assume Bridgeside Health since they are coming direct from Lilly Direct, but I'll report back as to which delivered best.

Down another 1.4 pounds since my last post.    That's 25 pounds lost since January 1st, and 28 pounds since I started with GLP-1s mid-December.   Now to add some regular exercise into the mix - and I'll be golden.
