Mochi Week 2
Well - a successful week one - down 2 pounds, and since it is the week before Christmas - there were a couple of cookies and chocolates that made it into my diet that weren't accounted for in my Macros. I always count my protein - at least until I get close to where I want to be (140 g). The last 2 weeks my protein average was 128 g per day, so pleased with that.
Took my second shot today. Did the left thigh since last week I did the right. I tried the "pinching" method where you pinch the area where you inject - well at my weight, I really don't need to do that, and by doing it I felt more pressure when injecting the meds - so won't do it that way again. I know the stomach is another area that can be used, as well as the back of the flabby wings. I won't do the stomach until I stall, because I've read where it's re-started weight loss again without increasing the dose, and since I'd like to stay on as low as a dose as possible for as long as possible, I'll hold off on using my belly apron as an injection site.
It really does silence the food noise. It is amazing - whether it's a trick of the mind, or actually the meds working - I didn't even think about food until maybe Friday ? Yesterday I was hungry most of the day, so I knew I'd be doing dose #2 on Sunday - and from now on I'll stick to Sundays. I'll just have to be more aware at the end of the week.
My Macro's Inc. coach is aware I'm trying this, and is staying on top of my water intake as that is one of the biggest issues - not drinking enough water. Since this slows down digestion making you feel full longer, you may not want water, but you need it. I try and get a minimum of 75 ounces in each day - along with my other beverages (COFFEE) LOL. I usually get more than that in, but that's the minimum.
Now to plan the Christmas menu, share some recipes, and get cooking. The kids went to early morning yoga at the Ocean City Community Center - it'll be my two in their 20's along with a bunch of old ladies in their 80s and 90s LOL - should be fun.
