Mochi Week 5

First day at a new dose.   Mochi starts all new patients at 2.2 mg weekly of their compounded Tirzepatide.

Tirzepatide is the newest form of weight loss medication. It was recently approved for Type 2 diabetes, and works through both the GLP-1 receptor and GIP receptors."

Looking back, I lost 6 pounds the first month at the 2.2 dose, so excited to see what the 4.4 mg dose that I'm on this month will do.   Very little side effects at that low dose - actually none except I could tell that my digestion was slowed down.  I asked for an increased dose though because if I took my first injection on a Monday - by Friday I could feel the effects lessening.

I have read some groups feedback so I do have questions the next time I meet with my doctor at Mochi -

posting them here so I can go back and answer them (and remember the questions when I do have my appointment next month)

1.  I have been taking Lansoprazole since I've had my gallbladder out 15-20 years ago.   I don't take it daily, maybe once or twice a week.   I have an issue with acid build up, whether its the acid from my daily 2 cups of coffee, or if I have something with lactose (lactose intolerance - gave it to my kids too, you're welcome guys).   Anyway, since the Tirz is supposed to slow down digestion, I want to make sure this doesn't hinder the effectiveness of the meds.

2.  How long is the Tirz good for?   Right now I'm still finding out how long I can stay at the lowest dose which obviously would be the best way to go.   This month I'm at 4.4 mg.   Last month I lost nearly 6 pounds at the 2.2 mg dose, but how much of that could have been psychosomatic influenced?   Either way - since I barely made the scale move all of 2024, even after tracking my Macros, I'm overjoyed to see the scale finally dropping again.  Mochi is offering 3 month supplies of medication (not a lessor price, just get three months at one shot)   My issue is that if I want to up my dosage, with the approval of my physician, then I'm stuck finishing off the 3 months worth - so maybe not the way to go until I'm settled at a dose for a few months.

Anyway - my son goes back to college next week.   I'm already sad, but this is his very last semester hopefully, so he'll soon be home for good.   Or, until his next adventure.   Either way, I'll miss him, but once he's back at school, I can focus more on the exercise half of this equation.

As always - if you sign up for Mochi - please consider using my code.    if you sign up for Mochi and use my referral code - you will get $40 off AND I will get $40 off.   Just wanted to be clear about that part.

Give $40, get $40 using code
