Goal Weight

Image
I hit my goal weight in February - 180 pounds, meaning I lost exactly 1/2 of my body weight.   Feels pretty sweet if I'm being honest.    This was the February photo I shared with my Macros Inc Facebook group.   Not the main group - but they do challenge groups a couple times a year.   Last year I participated in both challenges - and it really helped keep me on track.  If you're looking to lose weight - and KEEP IT OFF - I highly suggest learning as much as possible about your nutritional needs instead of looking for the next fast way to lose weight.    I was already about 50 pounds down when I joined Macros Inc. and hired a coach.   I've been with her steady now for 2 years - but it was back in 2019 I think when I first hired her for 3 months - and I really suggest if finances are tight - do at least 3 months and give yourself the very best start you can.   Plus they do offer a free 2 week trial - so tho...

February 2026

Had to make some new goals - because I was already hitting those January goals.   I've actually already hit some of these too - except for the pullup ... still working on that one. Not sure where I left off tracking my weight journey here - but get this - I am down to 182 pounds.   I am 2 pounds away from losing 50% of my bodyweight.   Holy shit batman.   Who does that?   I'll weigh 180 pounds, and I'll have lost 180 pounds.   Pretty damn cool.  Still hitting the gym three days a week.   Want to see 180 on the scale just once - and then into maintenance through summer.   Then maybe another cut - I don't know.   But I do know I feel amazing.   And it's time to share how I got here. First - I fixed my nutrition.    Macros Inc. - bar none.   I've never seen a company that gives away so much for free.   Can't afford a personal nutrition coach?  ...

Daily Om - One Thing and BACK CRACK !!

Image
What is one thing you can move (clear) for one minute right now that could release some stuck energy? Still working in the old office/schoolroom that will one day be an amazing gym.  Today is also trash day - both bins are down waiting to be dumped.   That means I can easily fill one trash bag to take out of there today - and I will load the back of the Jeep with donations of clothing and shoes.   I saw the gym is collecting shoes for the homeless - and I have some good ones - so I'll be happy to donate there.   The rest of the clothing will go to the Veterans bin, hopefully they get where they are intended to go without vets being charged. The photo?   I've been working on obtaining a back crack for 6 years now.   When I started I was 360 pounds, and my son's crew coach agreed to take me on as a client.   He wasn't a legit personal trainer - but he was what I needed at the time - and he didn't seem to realize I was...

Do you wear your clothes or do they wear you (out)? Daily Om

This is one pair of one of my favorite legging brands (CVG if you want to know)   I wore this exactly same pair when I was 300+lbs, and now they are much looser, but still make me smile.    Right now I am wearing a onsie that my daughter got me for Christmas.   It's like a size large.  It fits fine, except the zipper doesn't go down very far, making it difficult to get out of in a hurry (no bueno when you are close to 60 and a female - cause when you gotta go....)   But it looks good on me. Most of my clothes left in my closet are from when I was 300+ lbs.   They don't fit now.  I hate shopping.  I did order 2 new pair of jeans from American Eagle.  I haven't worn them yet - cause I really don't go anywhere outside of my house.   That really needs to change in 2026 (although not today - cause it's COLD outside)   Ready to dial things in for 2026 - no more doom scrolling, or "one day" - treating eve...

Thing of Beauty

Image
The prompt from Daily Om for today was  " Look up from this screen for a moment and scan the room you're in. What is one thing of beauty that calls your attention?" My Christmas Pointsetta That's easy - Leenah signs me up every year for deliveries from the High School.  It's a win/win, I love the monthly flowers, and it helps the students learn a skill.  This has been on top of my computer tower for over a month and it's still beautiful.  I do have my hydroponic garden in my office, so I don't forget to water it.  It brings a smile everytime I look up. Then if I turn my head slightly right -  My bedroom door, with my extra large Christmas stockings that is always one of the first decorations I hang up.  The film strip to the left is from last summer when Adam and I went to the Canadian Henley Regatta - so much fun, and so many amazing memories.  I'm glad that was today's prompt - the empty Christmas stocking that never has anything inside, y...

It is the space between the issue and the desired outcome where the real goodies are and where the real clearing happens. For January - My focus is HOME RESET  That means - for me, lots of decluttering, lots of donating, lots of just getting rid of what is no longer adding to my life.   I'm not gonna harp on "JOY" or any of that BS - no, I don't get joy when I pick up a pond deicer - but I know my fish need it in winter.  I don't feel JOY when I pick up my own baby photo that hung in my Dad's house, for the second half of my childhood.  I don't feel any attachment - so why keep it?  I have steps set up to help me with my home reset - staring off with Purging and Putting away Christmas - but since we haven't had Christmas yet - can't do that one.  What I can do is set up a cleaning schedule and dedicated 1 hour a day towards cleaning out my old office and getting it ready for a new gym.  Also on the list - getting ready to eBay some quilt ki...

Happy New Year's 2026

Day One of Reimagining my Future SBSS2026 Woke up to a New Year's snowy squall over my little backyard oasis - the pond is flowing, waterfall keeping the pond alive while the fish hide - except the bold white ones. The snow is laying quiet over the fig, apple and pear trees, everything asleep until Spring. As I scan the yard, it's easy to picture the chickens, rabbits and ducks filling these spaces, turning this winter scene into a future mini-homestead. A greenhouse in the front, fruit and figs in teh back, and this little pond as the heartbeat of it all. New year, fresh snow, and endless possibilities, right here at home. #NDO #seaofopportunities #MacrosInc #mycoachisbetterthanyours #SBSS2026
