Mochi Issues

I'm sure there is tons of mis-information (** and REAL information - don't get me wrong) going around so I'm putting out everything that I've heard, and experienced, first hand - do with it as you will.  So one of Mochi's compounding pharmacies - Aquita - VOLUNTARILY stopped filling prescriptions because they were not able to follow the guidelines - they had people filling the scripts that were not eligible.   Now - people are coming at me saying it was kids filling scripts - how can I put that in my body, etc., etc., etc.     When I was in high school, I worked for Thrift Drugs (are they even still around?)  I was very good at my job.   I became a department head at 17 yo.   I often subbed in the pharmacy department - sometimes as a cashier, but many a time I was behind the counter helping to get scripts together.   Did that mean I was filling them?   Nope.   The pharmacist did that.   ...

We Have Baby Figs !!

Image
Remember these ?   Stuck them in some dirt a couple weeks ago?   Seems like they are putting out roots quickly !  Sad to have to cut off these baby figs, but I want the plants energy going into roots and eventually leaves and a stronger tree, so the baby figs are going to come off today.    These are all from the white figs.   The brown turkey figs have shown no growth, no nothing, so they are still in their zip lock bags holding moisture.   Might put them on top of a seeding heat mat if they don't start to show signs of life soon. Today I'll go out and trim the rest of the trees before they really start to grow.   Last couple of years I just let them grow free - but they've gotten so tall and so wide that it's hard to get all around them, I'd rather have fewer amazing figs so will be cutting off some of the older growth.   Took my Mochi shot today.   Also ordered another 3-month refill - only bec...

Had a good birthday weekend.  Reserved a room at a nearby casino/hotel with an indoor adult only pool area.   Pool area is much smaller than I remember, they added a stage and stuff for nighttime entertainment, but that really took away from the daytime pool atmosphere.   I was able to relax and unwind, Leenah came to take me home (a day early, I missed my bed).    She took me to dinner first, I had stuffed lobster, it was amazing, I actually didn't eat it until yesterday, but even reheated it was so good.   Supposed to take a drive up to see my son this upcoming weekend, so my schedule will be screwy again.   I think this shot will be week 14 - tomorrow the 19th I'll do a full dose and I should be on regular schedule again.    Where I get my shot - Mochi - one of their compounding pharmacies has voluntarily ceased operations temporarily.   Mochi seems to be able to take it in stride and keep going, so hopefully ...

Mochi Week 12

Image
Schedule is a little screwy, since I took a 20 ml dose on Monday - by Thursday I knew I'd need my full dose.   So I did the full 50 ml of the new  strength - 6.6 mg + 1.0 mg / .5ml and immediately felt like I did when I first started my journey.    Still focusing on getting at least 100 g of protein in each day, that the minimum - my goal is closer to 130g, but I am finding it hard to get down that much food.   It's funny - if I eat too late - like 7 pm or after, when I wake up in the morning, my stomach is still full.    On the homefront, the  hubs spent some more time in the hospital last weekend - went in on Friday complaining of a pain in his back.   He's been complaining some since he got back from Columbia, come to find out he had blood clots again.   It's not the first time, he's had blood clots after he took his first Covid Vaxx - while I'm not exactly happy about the results of Mrna in his system, it wa...

MOCHI Week 11

Image
Actually took a shot late last week - the food noise was breaking through in a big way, so I was planning on taking 1/2 dose on Thursday, but the needle loaded so easily right to the full does, so I just went ahead.   It was still working well when it came time for my normal shot on Saturday, so I skipped it, and just finished off that bottle today (only .20 ml left out of a full .50 ml shot)   That's the extra that Aquita (the pharmacy) sends.   My next bottle is up in strength - 6.6 mg + 1.0 mg / .5ml.    For those new to my blog, I get my GLP-1 from Mochi - it's compounded, Tirzepatide + Niacinamide.   Niacinamide is one form of vitamin B3 (niacin) that plays an important role in energy metabolism and cell health. The cost of GLP-1s is what stops most people from using this amazing medicine.   For Mochi - I pay $199 every three months just for the "membership", and then $600 for 3 months worth of Tirzepatide.  ...
