Mochi Issues
I'm sure there is tons of mis-information (** and REAL information - don't get me wrong) going around so I'm putting out everything that I've heard, and experienced, first hand - do with it as you will.
So one of Mochi's compounding pharmacies - Aquita - VOLUNTARILY stopped filling prescriptions because they were not able to follow the guidelines - they had people filling the scripts that were not eligible. Now - people are coming at me saying it was kids filling scripts - how can I put that in my body, etc., etc., etc.
When I was in high school, I worked for Thrift Drugs (are they even still around?) I was very good at my job. I became a department head at 17 yo. I often subbed in the pharmacy department - sometimes as a cashier, but many a time I was behind the counter helping to get scripts together. Did that mean I was filling them? Nope. The pharmacist did that. But did I label, or count out pills, or any of the other menial tasks that required very little medical knowledge - yep. Was I unqualified? Probably by the guidelines, but I knew how to count out 90 pills, so......
Am I worried that my last refill of 3 months is tainted? Nope - it's still working, I feel just the same as I did last month, and my eczema (which came on after I started taking the GLP-1s) is starting to finally clear up.
Now - I did try and get one more 3-months supply when I heard this was going down. These meds are good for 6 months if kept sealed, and 28 days after the seal has been broken. I'm on a social media sabbatical - but I have gone back to the Facebook group to catch any updates on pharmacy's with Mochi. When I saw they were filling scripts again with a different pharmacy, but only doing one month refills until they got caught up - I knew I'd have to call to get my money back for the 3 month refill I had requested. This is how I did that -
Called Mochi - 1-619-648-1247
As soon as it picks up - hit 2 - that'll put you on hold
As soon as you hear the hold music - hit 2 - that'll put you on the call back list.
I called first thing this morning, and they called back within an hour and a half. Not bad. Customer service refunded me 2 of the 3 months (prices don't change if you order more so that's perfectly fine) and then pushed through a refill for one month - sending it directly to the pharmacy. Done. My credit card will be refunded the 2 months, and I should have my refill well before I run out.
As for my personal journey - still doing well. Really focusing on water as that seems to also help with the eczema. Protein so I don't lose the muscle I worked so hard for. Weight loss is still going strong, although it doesn't seem as fast as in the beginning, but since I've had very little issues with my digestion, I'll take it!!
