Mochi Week 12
Schedule is a little screwy, since I took a 20 ml dose on Monday - by Thursday I knew I'd need my full dose. So I did the full 50 ml of the new strength - 6.6 mg + 1.0 mg / .5ml and immediately felt like I did when I first started my journey. Still focusing on getting at least 100 g of protein in each day, that the minimum - my goal is closer to 130g, but I am finding it hard to get down that much food. It's funny - if I eat too late - like 7 pm or after, when I wake up in the morning, my stomach is still full.
On the homefront, the hubs spent some more time in the hospital last weekend - went in on Friday complaining of a pain in his back. He's been complaining some since he got back from Columbia, come to find out he had blood clots again. It's not the first time, he's had blood clots after he took his first Covid Vaxx - while I'm not exactly happy about the results of Mrna in his system, it was because of it that they found his kidney cancer and were able to remove his kidney before it spread, so I guess I should be grateful. I was angry - as his wife, and his medical proxy, I think he should have told me he was taking the Covid vaxx again (he took it when he traveled to Columbia for February) Now he understands how lucky he is that one of those clots didn't lodge in his heart while flying. Sigh. He's back now, and feeling better, but had to cancel his trip to Thailand. Luckily, he was flying Qatar airways, they allowed him vouchers to rebook in fall without losing anything - so not a total loss.
Down 1.8 pounds since Monday - happy to see the scale moving down again, it was stuck for a few weeks. Need to concentrate more on getting my water in as well, since every time I have a good loss, it seems it's when I'm more focused on water. Also got my new bike rack for the Jeep put together yesterday - holy crap that thing is heavy. Who knew that you weren't supposed to put E-bikes on regular bike racks (something to do with the weight of the battery) Anyway - bought this one when I bought my e-bike, and finally got it together. Haven't put it on the Jeep yet, but looks like it'll clear the spare tire pretty easily. My e-bike is an assist - it won't go by itself, like you see kids these days just "riding their bikes" but their feet don't actually move. Mine doesn't do that - you have to pedal, but if you are going uphill and struggling, it will kick in and assist. Where I live there is a 2 mile bridge with tons of hills that go over to a beautiful beach town - so I do use my bike to get across the bridge, but town itself is flat so I can ride for hours without the assist kicking in (good thing, as I need it to get back over the bridge!)
Got all the fig cuttings rooted, will keep them nice and moist and hopefully they'll put out some roots and this time next year I'll have 15 new trees to give away.
